Telangana activists have continued their attacks on film shooting even on second day. Yesterday Manchu Manoj was the victim and today it’s Allu Arjun. The shooting of ‘Varudu’ was going on at RFC and a group of TRS and ABVP activists have come all of a sudden and damaged the lights and camera. The crew has run away from the place with fear. This has happened followed by the Chiranjeevi’s pro-samaikyandhra statement given freshly yesterday.

Posani Brings 'Mental' For Sakshi Swapna

The apt title given for Posani Krishnamurali by many in Tollywood is ‘Mental Krishna’. Posani came with a film having the same title and it was the torturous effect that motivated many to give that name to him. Now, Posani has proved that he can do the same in real life as well.

Chiranjeevi's Warning For KCR

Chiranjeevi has raised his voice with higher tone. He verbally attacked KCR today and challenged that he will tour in Telangana districts with Samaikyandhra Slogan.

“I will tour in Telangana area for SamikyaAndhra whatever be the consequences I face. Hyderabad is for everyone. None can own it exclusively. Attacking film shootings is demeaning. We will give fitting answer for such deeds. KCR! Hold your tongue”, warned Chiranjeevi followed by attack on the shooting of Manchu Manoj’s film.

“People are now happy to see real Mega Star. This is what we wanted all these days”, said a Samaikyandhra Activist listening to Chiru’s statement.

Telangana activists as usual said that they would ban Chiru’s films.

YS Jagan As Chief Minister Will Solve Problem?

YS Jagan should be made Chief Minister to solve this Andhra-Telangana turmoil. Right now, Rosiah has got the tag of weakest CM and hence everybody is doing public nuisance in the name of bandhs, rastarokos, hunger strikes etc.

Mamtha's no to SRK

Mamtha Mohandas is getting notorious for rejecting film. She has now rejected a film opposite the mighty SRK. This film was to be directed by Farha Khan and is tentatively titled Happy New Year.

The reason for Mamtha’s rejection is that there are two more heroines in the film and she would be the third heroine. That means playing second fiddle (in effect third fiddle) and Mamtha does not want to be relegated to such levels in her Bollywood debut.

What’s 'Khatta-Metta' all about?

Priyadarshan, whose Prakash Raj-starrer Tamil movie Kancheevaram has won the National Award this year, is back to business in Bollywood.  He is making a film titled Katta-Metta in which Tollywood's girl Trisha is pairing with action star Akshay Kumar.

This one is a story based on the gruesome murder of an engineer named Yogendra Pandey in Bihar some years ago, which is alleged to have been conspired by a municipal contractor.  It is learnt that Katta-Metta uses this as the backdrop, though it is largely based on Priyan's film Vellanakalude Naadu.

With this film, Trisha will be launched in the Hindi film industry.  Asin, who has already got two big films (Ghajini and now London Dreams) in her kitty and Genelia who had Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, must be her inspiration.

Moreover, it is Priyan's script that reportedly made Trisha give her nod.  Whatever, if this political satire become a BO hit, nothing can stop the actress.

Kareena to marry Saif

Kareena and Saif are a pair, this is something we all know. The big question was when they will become husband and wife. Given that Kareena has at least 5-6 years as a leading lady she may not be willing to marry yet.

On the other hand Saif is fast approaching forty years and so he may be in a hurry to get married. Given this scenario the whole waited for the day about their marriage. Interestingly the announcement of the marriage has been left to Sharmila Tagore, Saif’s mother. Trisha the traveller

Is 'Namo Venkatesa' most expensive?

Venkatesh's next film Namo Venkatesa, relesing for Sankranthi, has reportedly cost a whopping sum according to some soures.  It's budget is put at Rs. 24 cr and is said to have cost more than any other Venky film.  By far, Devi Putrudu released almost a decade ago is said to be the costliest film in the actor's career.

Though there has been no official declaration of the costs gone into making this film, Namo Venkatesha will look rich is what everyone is saying.  Produced by 14 Reels Entertainment and presented by Suresh Productions, Venky has a prestigious project in his kitty now.

Starring Trisha and Brahmanandam, the film has music by Devi Sri Prasad.  Currently, the unit is in Hyderabad, shooting for three songs.  With this, the talkie part will be over and post-production works will go on.

Story: An ex-marine Jake (sam) is roped into project Avatar and his mission is to go to another planet Pandora to make friends with the local Na’vi tribes. The idea behind this mission is to extract a very valuable mineral in the rich biodiversity planet that can benefit the humans and Jake goes to execute the mission. He is supported by Dr Grace (Sigourney) in this and once he lands in the planet, he chances upon Neytiri (zoe). However, destiny has got something else in store for Jake and what is he born for forms the rest of the story. Performances: Sam Worthington He has come out with a neat performance and carries the movie throughout with ease. His screen presence is passive but then it is his character that gives a lot of strength to the role. Zoe Saldana Despite the fact that her human form is not seen, Zoe looks rather sensuous and credit must be given to the graphics specialists for creating a true to reality image of hers. She looks sensuous and beautiful with the right kind of expressions and emotional presence. Sigourney Weaver It is good to see the senior actress doing a responsible role and she has gone by the book and given complete justice to it. Stephen Lang He plays a hardcore army man and looks perfect to the core. His screen presence is strong and he has depicted the unwittingly evil side of the mankind in a correct manner. Others: Michelle Rodriguez was brief but made her presence felt, Giovanni Ribisi was standard, Joel Moore contributed in his own way, Wes Studi was apt. Not much from others since most of them are in animated or graphics format. Analysis: It is not often that one gets to see such movies. A once in a lifetime marvel, the storyline runs on a very simple yet important concept and more than the content, it is the presentation and narrative that dominated. The dialogues were witty at few places but they had depth though phrased in simple words, the script was in perfect shape and there were no loose ends, the screenplay was captivating. Background score contributed to the moods but James Horner could have given a theme of sorts just like he did for ‘Titanic’. Editing was crisp and sharp to the edge, costumes were nominal. Here is the best part – it is the graphics, visual effects, make up department, art department that have given an overwhelming impact. Here are few important observations- There is no inferior depiction of the Hindu gods or Hinduism so the BJP people and the religious fanatics can take it easy. There is a slight tinge of personification of Lord Rama in the protagonist and it was carried out with integrity and elegance. Though the film is rich in technical effects, there is a strong message which speaks of the importance of conserving the environment and how bio diversity is important for the existence of mankind. For those who understand what goes behind graphics and the visual effects, this is no less than a bible and it only takes exclamations to understand the efforts and the brains behind this. James Cameron visualizes a world that not many can see and his attention to detail can be seen in the little creatures to the lighting effects and the aura it creates. Overall, the technical aspects and the visual effects are truly divine and though one can miss the comedy aspect, it is the overall impact and the strong message it delivers that engages the viewers. The film is lengthy (2 hours 40 minutes) but to be honest, there is not a single minute of boredom and it is a completely different journey that will remain in the memories for a long time. Bottom-line: Don’t miss it…Rush to theatres immediately

Lagadapati all set for show of strength

Vijayawada: Sticking to his guns on united Andhra, Lagadapati Rajagopal, MP, on Wednesday reiterated that he would quit public life as and when separate Telangana is formed. The MP is organising a public meeting at the PWD grounds in Vijayawada on Dec 18 for which he claimed over a lakh people would attend. “I am not agitating for personal gains. I have undertaken the fast for the sake of the people who want united Andhra,” he told reporters here on the second day of his fastunto-death. He said there was no point in continuing in public life in a divided state and added there was no selfish agenda behind the agitations of leaders from Coastal and Rayalaseema regions. “The strong aspirations of the people have driven the leaders to quit their MP and MLA posts,” he said and added that Friday’s public meeting would testify the larger public mood against the bifurcation of the state. He charged the leaders of Telangana with misleading the Centre and the Congress high command. Meanwhile, the fast-unto-death of TDP leaders Devineni Umamaheswara Rao and Bonda Umamaheswara Rao entered fourth day on Wednesday. Amid high drama, police arrested TDP legislator Chinnam Ramakotaiah and former mayor Panchumarthi Anuradha from the fast-unto-death camp and shifted them to hospital in the early hours of Wednesday. Police swooped on the ZP guest house premises where the leaders were staging the hunger stir at around 3 am, a few hours after city police commissioner K V Rajendranath Reddy clamped Section 144 of IPC in the city for next one week. TDP leaders had built a barricade of party activists since late hours of Tuesday to prevent the arrest.

Vikram is happy about Ileana

The Vikram-Vikram Kumar duo is all smiles as they have managed to rope in Ileana for their forthcoming venture ‘24’. Produced by Mohan Natarajan, the movie, a science fiction, will go on floors shortly.

Says the ‘Chiyaan’, “Ileana is the right choice for the role. It is my first fantasy film and both of us have challenging tasks to do. I am eagerly looking forward to work with Ileana and Vikram.”

On his part, director Vikram Kumar says, “Ileana’s pairing with Vikram is going to be one of the highlights of the movie. She is beautiful, glamorous and a complete actress. She has given us bulk dates.”

Denying some media reports on the movie, the filmmaker adds: “It is not a story that happens in 24 hours. It is a humour film loaded with romance, fantasy and action. Vikram expressed interest to be part of the project as soon as I narrated him the storyline.”

Meanwhile, buzz is that Ileana has been paid a bomb to be part of the project. It is to be noted that the actress is reportedly getting more than Rs one crore in Telugu.

'Puli' in Mumbai

After completing two major schedules in New York and Dubai, Pawan Kalyan's Puli has moved to the city of Mumbai.  As is well-known, the film has been on the floors for a good period of time, and despite its launch more than 18 months ago, there is no news about its release date as yet.

Directed by SJ Suryah, the film marks the second film in the combination of the Kollywood filmmaker and Tollywood superstar.  A costly film, it is produced by Singanamala Rameshbabu.

Grapevine suggests that Pawan is playing a cop in the film who works in the specially-floated force Pulice to counter terrorism.  The film's association with the cities New York and Mumbai make us believe in it.

Nikisha Patel is a new girl who is debuting with the film.  Binod Pradhan, the ace cinematographer, who worked for films like Rang De Basanti, Devdas and Mission Kashmir in recent years, is the director of cinematography for this film.

Shruthi’s new year in NY!

This will be the first time that Shruthi Hassan is performing a dance piece at an award function. Kamal Haasan's daughter will shake her curvy hip for the 'Sabsey Favourite Kaun' awards at a suburban hotel in Mumbai tonight .

While preparing for the event, the star kid said, “I have performed as a singer in front of a live audience. I don't want to rate myself on how well I can do it but I try and improve with every step. Designer Binal Shah is styling me for the nite and I am looking forward to the experience of a live dance act."

Shruti who has composed the music for her father's Telugu remake of ‘A Wednesday’, 'Eenadu' is planning to spend some time in Mumbai now. We hear that Shruthi will soon rebuilding her band and come up with a brand new name for it.

Hari Krishna's stand to spell trouble for 'Adhurs'

Actor Hari Krishna's reported stand on Samaikhya Andhra has caused troubles to Adhurs, the forthcoming film of his son Junior NTR.  As the father is associated with the Telugu Desam Party, whose stand goes against the Telangana statehood, the agitators here might target Adhurs, releasing in the next week.

With news trickling in that Hari Kirshna is supportive of TDP's commitment to United Andhra, the film of his son will find it difficult to see easy release in the region.  Also, the young star of the film had campaigned for TDP in March and April, and the people view him as a TD loyalist.

Sources say that like Arya2, Adhurs will be a victim of the political turmoil in Andhra Pradesh.

'Magadheera' takes Kajal to Bollywood?

After the hit of ‘Magadheera’, Kajal Agarwal has become a happy girl. This Telugu hit starred Ram Charan Teja opposite Kajal had made her career graph shoot like never before.

According to reliable sources, Magadheera is getting ready to see its luck in Bollywood now. We hear that plans are on to remake this blockbuster in Hindi soon. Sources in the know say that plans are on to retain Kajal to do the female lead role in Hindi version too. So, this proves that Kajal will be the next to enter Hindi with a South remake, after Asin who entered with ‘Ghajini’.

Magadheera directed by Rajamouli was a periodic love with action and graphics extravaganza. It’s worthy to mention that ‘Magadheera’ earned the second highest gross collections all over the country, behind Hindi ‘Ghajini’ and the highest for a South Indian movie.

Mahesh Babu's film in Vikarabad

Currently, the Mahesh Babu-starrer venture with Trivikram Srinivas is being canned in Vikarabad.  It is well-known that the film was shot in Rajasthan extensively for some days.  The launch of the film finally came after a long wait.

Mahesh Babu is doing the film after a long gap.  So, there is excitement among his fans naturally.  Early during the scripting stages, rumours broke out that the Prince is playing a cabbie in the film, while his co-star Anushka plays a rich brat.

Priyamani in 'Golimaar'?

In Puri Jagannadh's next, the heroine has not been decided for a long time.  There has been a suspense over who is going to pair up with Gopichand in the film to be produced by Bellamkonda Suresh.

However, a name is doing the rounds.  Guess who?  It's Priyamani, the Pravarakhyudu girl.  The award-winning actress of Paruthi Veeran (Tamil) is going great in Tollywood.  Having acted opposite two films with Jagapathi Babu, she has bagged yet another with him (Sadhyam).  She is doing a film with Ravi Teja, titled Shambo Shiva Shambo.

Also, her role in Mani Ratnam's Ravan is touted as her best so far.  Though we have to wait to watch if Priyamani goes Bollywood with Ravan, the actress is slowly becoming a top flight heroine in Telugu.

Though, unlike Trisha or Nayanatara, she has not acted with superstars here, her popularity is zooming ahead.

Trisha Starts Star-Hotel Business In Hyderabad

Sources reveal that Trisha’s father Krishnan happens to be an experienced person in hotel management and so, she has decided to use his experience in starting their own venture. The news is that Trisha is all set to open a star hotel in the city of Hyderabad and her father would be running the show. It is also heard that the inaugural of the hotel would be done on a grand scale with some noted politicians and celebrities becoming part of it.
