Has YVS lost Midas Touch?

After the release of Saleem, the question that boggles the mind of everyone is whether director YVS Chowdhary has lost his Midas Touch.  With 'Saleem' being universally reviled by film critics and cursed by the audience, the director has delivered two disasters in succession.

The 2008 legendary super flop 'Okka Mogadu', with Balakrishna in the lead, damaged YVS' image immensly.  The audience were numbed to see such a ridiculous film from the maker of films like 'Devadasu', 'Lahiri Lahiri Lahirilo', 'Seethayya' etc.

The hopes have been dashed yet another time.  His immediate film after 'Okka Mogadu', 'Saleem' doesn't boast of Chowdhary's signature style.  Poorly written and outrageously mediocre, the film is most likely to turn up as the year's biggest box office horror.

In this context, can we say YVS has lost his Midas Touch?  It will be too early to arrive at a conclusion.  For, a director who crafts an absurd one today could produce a thorough entertainer tomorrow.  Let's hope grounded YVS limps back in near future.

Kajal Agarwal's sister to make entry

If Kajal Agarwal has filmmakers queued up to sign her on, her sister Nisha Agarwal is ready to come into the films too.  She too is making a debut in Telugu.  Features wise, Nisha looks like her pretty sister.

Though earlier it was rumoured that Nisha wanted to make an entry with a Hindi film, it seems that she is trying to gain initial foothold by banking upon Kajal's top ranking popularity in Telugu.

Also, with Kajal having many well-wishers in the industry, Nisha and family seem to have taken the right decision.

Veelle is the film with which Nisha is starting her journey.  She is pairing up with Vinay of MS Raju's 'Vaana' fame.  The film is written, produced and directed by Ravi Prakash.

Hope Nisha charms the audience in a big way.  And unlike others like Aarthi Agarwal, makes an impact.
